Unilever Earnings Up in 4th Quarter, To Sell Frozen Foods

Unilever earned $817.9 million for the fourth quarter. Sales rose 3% to $12.1 billion the company said. The company’s full-year earnings rose 37% to $4.5 billion, but were less than analysts’ estimates of $4.6 billion. Annual sales rose to $47.4 billion. Unilever said its sales growth was due to higher sales volumes, rather than better prices, and it is hoping to improve operating margins in 2006.
